Abstract
Aluminum 61S is a wrought, heat-treatable alloy that combines the qualities of excellent resistance to corrosion, ease of fabrication and good mechanical properties. (See update, Aluminum 6061, Alloy Digest Al-205, January 1973.) This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue.
