AISI 4422 is a carbon-molybdenum type carburizing steel designed as alternate for the AISI 8600 grades of steel for single quench practice. It is recommended for case hardened gears, pinions, shafts and the like. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
