Abstract
BELMONT ALLOY 4977 is a high-strength alloy for casting. Its high strength is achieved by solution treating and precipitation (age) hardening. It has good resistance to corrosion. This alloy is the most widely used high-strength beryllium-copper casting alloy; among its many uses are valves, pump components and molds for plastics. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue.
