Abstract
MUELLER Alloy 3450 (formerly MBCo. Alloy 212) is a high-lead brass alloy noted for its excellent thread-rolling and knurling properties. Its machinability approaches that of free-cutting brass. It is used for screw-machine applications where both good cutting and cold-forming characteristics are desired. Typical applications are valve stems, gears and flare fittings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
