INDALLOY 281-338 is a tin-base alloy that can be melted easily. It is non-eutectic alloy and melts through a temperature range of 281-338 F. It provides scientists and engineers with an easily castable material that is ready for use soon after it freezes; in addition, it can be recovered readily and recycled into new uses any number of times. Among its many uses are fusible mandrels for electroforming, proof casting in foundries, low-temperature solder, holding jet engine blades for machining and dies for wax patterns for investment casting.
