Copper Alloy No. C85400 is a copper-zinc-lead-tin alloy for casting. It is a free-machining alloy characterized by its good machining and polishing characteristics, its pleasing yellow color, and its relatively low cost. It is an alloy with low-to-moderate strength and it is used in a number of light-duty applications such as andirons, furniture hardware, valves and ship trimmings.
