MUELLER Alloy 2300 is an alpha brass containing 15% zinc. It has good physical and mechanical properties, excellent cold-working characteristics and a pleasing red color. Its low zinc content makes it resistant to dezincification and it is more resistant to stress-corrosion cracking than brasses with higher zinc contents. Typical uses are plumbing pipe and condenser and heat-exchanger tubes. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
