Abstract
AISI No. 685 is a nickel-base, austenitic, precipitation-hardenable alloy. It has excellent tensile and stress-rupture strength to 1400 F and high resistance to corrosion and oxidation at temperatures at least to 1600 F. It is used widely in airframe assemblies, gas turbine engines and missile systems. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ni-271.
