ANACONDA Alloy 226 nominally contains 87.5% copper and remainder zinc. This composition gives it a pleasing, rich color, hence the old name Jewelry Bronze. It possesses a resistance to dezincification and to stress-corrosion cracking that makes it ideal for all-weather usage as well as for decorative purposes. Among its many uses are slide fasteners, wire for screens of all types, electrical connectors, costume jewelry and platers' bars in the manufacture of gold-plated articles.
