NF616, nominally 9Cr-0.5 Mo-1.8W-Cb(Nb)-V, is an alloy in the 9 Cr system developed to overcome the disadvantages of high expansion with austenitic alloys for boiler operations, while maintaining high strength. NF 616 is expected to find use in boiler tubing and main steam piping. This datasheet provides information on composition, hardness, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and creep.
