HPM, or 25Cr-38Ni-Mo-Ti, is a wrought alloy developed for cracking tubes in ethylene plants. Development was aimed at tubes with similar or better elevated temperature strength and carburization resistance compared to HP grade centrifugally cast tubes, but with higher ductility, better toughness, and ability to be produced in longer and smaller tubing.
