Abstract
Carpenter titanium alloy 6Al-4V is an alpha-beta alloy that contains alpha and beta stabilizers and can be heat treated. This alloy accounts for more than 50% of total titanium usage, mostly in aerospace applications. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive, shear, and bearing strength as well as fracture toughness and fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TI-60.
