Carlson Alloy 303 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel to which elements such as sulfur have been added to improve machinability and nonseizing characteristics. The steel is the most readily machinable of all austenitic chromium-nickel grades and is suitable for automatic screw machines. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and tensile properties.
