BALL ROLLED ZINC Alloy 809 is a zinc-aluminum-copper alloy that displays maximum strength, hardness and wear resistance among zinc-base alloys. Despite its high strength, it can be machined readily. It does not stain other metals and is used in such applications as keys and tokens. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, tensile properties, and shear and bend strength It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment.
