TECH-TRONIC 50 stainless steel is a chromium-nickel-manganese austenitic iron-base alloy strengthened by an addition of nitrogen (0.20-0.40%). It has approximately twice the yield strength of AISI Types 316 and 316L at room temperature; in addition, its corrosion resistance is greater than that provided by these two stainless steels. TECH-TRONIC 50 also possesses very good mechanical properties at elevated and sub-zero temperatures. Among its many applications are fasteners, chains, and marine hardware. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength.
