CarTech L6 is an oil-hardening, high-carbon (0.70%), nickel-chromium, alloy cold-work tool steel. It is suitable for short run tooling in applications where a combination of high hardness and good toughness is required. The relatively high nickel content results in an alloy with greater impact toughness compared to the other common oil-hardening grades.
