Rio Tinto 354.2 is a heat-treatable, aluminum-silicon-copper-magnesium casting alloy (3xx.x series). It is available in the form of ingots for remelting to be used for the production of sand and permanent mold castings. Alloy 354.0 was developed especially for premium engineered casting applications requiring high strength and elongation, and sound castings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting and heat treating.
