Bismuth-22.6Pb-19.1In-8.3Sn-5.3Cd is a eutectic, controlled-shrinkage alloy that has a melting point of 117 F (47 C). It provides the engineer, scientist and technician with easily castable material that is ready for use soon after it freezes. This alloy can be recycled into new uses any number of times. Its many uses include fusible elements in safety devices, model railroading, low-temperature solder and proof casting.
