Copper Alloy No. 845 was formerly identified as 78-3-7-12 alloy or 78 Semi-Red Brass. It is a free-cutting copper-tin-lead-zinc alloy and is characterized by good casting properties, moderate strength and ductility, excellent machinability and good corrosion resistance. Among its many uses are low-pressure valve fittings, plumbing fixtures and general hardware fittings. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
