Abstract
UNS C83600 is a free-cutting copper-tin-lead-zinc casting alloy. It offers good casting characteristics but soundness is poor in large castings. It has moderate strength and ductility, and good resistance to corrosion. It is used widely for such applications as valves, gears and general hardware. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and compressive strength as well as fracture toughness, creep, and fatigue. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Cu-543. Producer or source: Copper alloy producers.
