Abstract
AL TECH NAVAHO is an air-hardening punch and die steel with lower carbon than most cold-work steels; this provides an optimum combination of wear resistance and toughness for difficult cold-work applications. It also is used for abrasive hot-work requirements. This steel offers relatively favorable size stability and exceptional secondary hardness characteristics. NAVAHO has a broad application range from shear blades and punches to molds for plastics ad hot-work tooling. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness.
